1) Recognition by Superintendent Perez of the Assistance League - Operation School Bell for providing clothing for our students.

2) Hemet Unified School District Transportation Driver Mr. Luis Benitez, California Highway Patrol Officers Jairo Rivera and Morgan Peel will be recognized for their assistance with the San Jacinto Leadership Academy field trip bus that became disabled. They will be recognized by SJLA teaches Ms. Horne and Ms. Gorosave.

1) Dr. Vanessa Gomez of Student, Community and Personnel Support will recognize Record Elementary School Counselor Dena Drouault for being selected for the Hero Staff of the Year Award by the Anti-Bullying Institute for building an inclusive culture on the campus of SJLA where she was counselor last year.

2) Special Surprise Recognition from the SJUSD Counseling Team.

3) Recognition of the following by Special Education Coordinator Rob Pearson for their hard work developing rubrics for the school psychology evaluation and going above and beyond each and every day for our students: Dr. Zoe Alvarez, Juawana Bowman, Lauren Craig Sanders, Lizette Delgado, Leslie Finale, Sandra Ostroske, George Terry, Cliff Thomson, Dr. Jennifer Utley.

Resolution No. 18-19-09, Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the San Jacinto Unified School District, Adopting an Amended Conflict of Interest Code, Pursuant to the Political Reform Act of 1974 is presented to the Board of Trustees for review and adoption.
Rationale:
The attached resolution will amend the Appendix of the San Jacinto Unified School District's Conflict of Interest Code pursuant to Government Code Section 87306. The proposed amendment includes new positions that must be designated, revises the titles of existing positions, deletes titles of positions that have been abolished, revises disclosure categories and adopts Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) standard provisions (2 Cal. Code of Regs. 18730).

Rationale:

Board President John I. Norman was unable to attend the September 11, 2018  Board Meeting.

Board Bylaw 9250 states: "A member may be paid for meetings he/she missed when the Board, by resolution, finds that he/she was performing designated services for the district at the time of the meeting or that he/she was absent because of illness, jury duty or a hardship deemed acceptable by the Board." (Education Code 35120)

Resolution No. 18-19-13, A Resolution Adopting the San Jacinto Unified School District Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Annex to the 2017 Riverside County Operational Area Multi-jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan is presented to the Board of Trustees for review and adoption.
Rationale:
President William J. Clinton signed H.R. 707, the Disaster Mitigation and Cost Reduction Act of 2000, into law on October 30, 2000. The Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 requires all jurisdictions to be covered by a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan to be eligible for Federal Emergency Management Agency post-disaster funds. It has been determined that it would be in the best interest of the County as a whole to adopt the Riverside County Operational Area Multi-jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. San Jacinto Unified School District has revised their Hazard Mitigation Plan in compliance with the requirements set forth by the California Office of Emergency Services and Federal Emergency Management Agency. Formal adoption of the plan is required by San Jacinto Unified School District before adoption by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.
 
Recommended Motion:
